I'M NOT HURT

Be Not Deceived

Gutter Religious Productions

I'm not hurt, though love has waned,
From bright beginnings to shadows stained.
When I spoke of love, it was real and true,
A bond shared by just me and you.

I offered my all, heart, body, soul,
In hopes that together we'd be whole.
Two hearts, two lives, intertwined as one,
A journey of joy, side by side we'd run.

You took my heart, that much is clear,
Now it's shattered, a presence I no longer hear.
We drifted apart, as if drawn by a tide,
From love's embrace to a love denied.

Yet, I'm not hurt, though tears may fall,
The past we shared, I'll cherish it all.
Though words have lost their enchanting tone,
In my heart, your memory is still home.

Our souls once entwined, now separate ways,
I look back on those soulful days.
Despite the pain, I won't despair,
For in this lesson, I find strength to bear.

I'm supposed to be in pain, they say,
But I'll find sunshine after this gray.
Memories play like an endless refrain,
Driving me close to the edge of my sane.

Yet, I won't let it drive me to despair,
I'll rise above, find strength to repair.
Love that once bloomed, then faded like a flower,
I'll stand tall, empowered by this hour.

Love may have faltered, but it remains,
Not as a burden, but as lessons gained.
I won't be mad, nor hold a grudge,
For life's tapestry is not always judge.

I'll keep loving you from afar,
Sending my wishes like a distant star.
Though we're apart, I'll always pray,
That you find happiness, come what may.

My heart was given freely, without demand,
In your care, it found its own brand.
You see, I'm not hurt, not broken, not blue,
Because love's journey was worth it with you.
